About Me

I am a trauma-informed psychotherapist with a strong foundation in psychodynamic and relational theories. I live in Illinois and have over 35 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families in community, educational, and private-practice settings.

I am the mother of four adult sons and draw heavily from my own parenting experiences as well as from all the things I have experienced in my life and career.

I am passionate about helping others create peaceful homes, nurture self-awareness and healthy relationships, and break generational trauma by parenting in developmentally attuned and intentional ways.

I have a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from DePaul University.

I have professional training from the Institute for Psychoanalysis in Chicago, EMDRIA International Association (EMDR) and Chicago Center for Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). In addition, I am trained in other modalities including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Solutions Focused Therapy, and Person Centered Therapy.

I am a writer and am working on a a Parenting Handbook as well as a women’s fiction trilogy. I have a daily practice of meditation and yoga that keeps me centered and on my authentic life path. I enjoy time in nature, cooking, and nurturing my relationships with family and friends.
